Of Interesting Conversations.. and El Strip Club remix (DJ Nelson)

First off, let me make one thing clear. I look a bit.. big in my blogger picture because I'm wearing a turtleneck and a jacket.

I'm actually much thinner.

Yes, I had that conversation with someone the other day.. and this one too..

And I write everything on my blog so openly and honestly because I don't care what people think. Everyone has their own opinions.. and I'm not going to change how I talk or look just to please someone. Unless it's my parents, of course. Or my boss. Who is a really cool guy, by the way.

I'm back to wishing that I had a twin.

If one of me can make it to Head Boy and Student Government, then two of me can rule the world.

Besides, imagine the fun I would have!

Speaking about fun.. I ran after my dad's police mobile the other day (or was it on the first roza?) to give him his cell phone, which he had inconveniently forgotten. Unfortunately, I am not Kid Flash, and I can't run at 50km per hour.

Instead, I'm..

Me.

I had my first full day of work today. It was the first day for the kids too, so you can imagine the.. um.. managed chaos.

It was managed because the administration was ready to deal with it and had some extra help from people who used to study here (hey, I'm trying to be modest by not writing my own name).

And speaking of being here, the nostalgia is.. incredible.

I can take two steps and I remember the exact places where I saw my first crush.. where I used to sit in Ramadan as Head Boy.. where I was given my traditional birthday bumps..

I can look around an empty corridor and see the kids who used to run around; I can see the teachers walking to their classes, and I can hear one or two teachers trying to knock some sense into their classes.. yes, I have a very.. vivid imagination. Alhamdullilah. All thanks to Allah.

I can re-create scenes in front of me and describe them even if there is the exact opposite there.. like a desert while I'm standing at the beach.

Anyway. I guess that if you study in a school for eleven years, then you know all its secrets.. all its habits.. everything.

It's just incredibly different. But hey, I won't complain, I'd rather be here, at the place which defined me, than anywhere else in the world.

This was a long post.
