Now, my soul sings

"The sign has been given," said Aragon, "and the day is not far off."

July 20th, 2016.

This gives me something to look forward to.

I plan to have had graduated and become a citizen before that date, so I can fly back home.
I miss home-I've never been away for this long-but then, life presents its challenges and we all meet them.

I lift my eyes to see Your face
I know my help is in Your Name
In everything
Held by hands
Of mercy

I'm taking 15 credit hours of summer classes-which is full time in a normal six-month semester and twice the full time coursework for summer-and working too, which is why I haven't had any time to blog or do anything much.

And I will run, and not grow weary
I will rise, in God my strength
My heart will trust

I asked a customer at work the other day if anyone was helping him.
He said he was being helped-by his wife-to go insane.
And yes, that was a joke-except that he actually did say that.

Now my soul sings
Your love, it knows no end

I'll post again when I can.
The song, by the way, is Love knows no end by Hillsong.

365 Day Project, Day 130

The usual view when I got home from work/class. Except that the sun is down, the moon is a bit higher in the sky, and it's much darker.

It's not about your scars, it's all about your heart

If you were an ice cream flavor
You would be my favorite one

Sometimes, you're all alone.
Sometimes, every breath hurts.
Sometimes, no one can help you.
Sometimes, not even those who love you most can do anything.

Sometimes, you're alone.
Sometimes, you face it all.
Sometimes, you face it, and smile.
Sometimes, you face it, and smile, and work all the more harder.

Sometimes, you're all alone.
Sometimes, you pray a little bit more.
Sometimes, you just can't let it all out.
Sometimes, you just.. hurt.

I made it up, yes. It summarizes what I'm feeling right now.

Go on you can take your time
Time is said to heal all wounds

Soo, today. It was the first time in like forever that I was free in the first period. So I turned my laptop on and opened up a few songs that she said I should listen to on YouTube. And I wanted to download Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides. (It's awesome, by the way!) I haven't seen all of it yet, no. I have a test to give in the next thirty minutes.

But yes, where was I? Oh yeah. My laptop. And YouTube. Turns out, I forgot that my earphones were tangled up and therefore music started playing in the Staff Room.

You can imagine what happened next when everyone heard it.

Oh, I've loved you from the start
In every single way
And more each passing day
You are brighter than the stars

I had to stay in school till five, since my brother had a basketball match-he's in the school team. And our team lost 39-40. However, I enjoyed watching the game, because it was my school team. I usually detest basketball. Noooo, don't hate on me. It's just that I don't get the point of one team scoring and then the other team running to the other side, scoring, and just that happening throughout the game.

This game was entertaining. Not only because their players knocked down two of ours and our coach got really.. jazbati. There's a word for it in English. And this is a first that I know a word in Urdu and can't recall it's translation in English. He got emotional. He yelled at the other team's coach and told him to meet him for a fight outside school. That shows how mad he got.

Like a lock without a key
Like a mystery without a clue
There is no me if I cannot have you

So, wish me luck. I have two depressed students to deal with, two tests, lots of homework, a paper due, and quite a few detentions. Oh, and work on Saturday too.

Good luck to you too. :D

Aim for the stars, but don't be surprised if you don't make it past Earth

I am very bored.

Online classes since May. Just two weeks off in May. And now back to classes.

I need a vacation. A long vacation.

^That should give you an idea of how much I'm expected to study.

I can't read a book on my laptop all day. Or study along with reading.

Makes me wish August was here already. I get two weeks off from Uni in August :)

And I can't play on the Nintendo Wii for more than half an hour in a day. Get a huge headache.

In fact, I've been getting a migraine every single day.

Think I need my apple diet back. I can actually survive for days on having apples for breakfast and lunch. Seriously.

Until I get apples, I'm going to have to live without junk food.. and teach my mom and aunt all the abbreviations. Like LOL. and ROFL (rolling on the floor with laughter). And PWOMS (parent watching over my shoulder).

It was funny how they didn't know any of those.

You're probably wondering what the title of my post has to do with any of this.

Do you really want to know?

Really?

Okay. Remember how I applied to Harvard, Cornell, Stanford, Upenn, and Santa Clara?

Santa Clara was the only one that said yes.

Taught me a lesson, that did.

Aim high, but don't be surprised if you don't get everything.

But then, you can't get everything you want in this life.
