Don't believe in Hogwarts? You're a Muggle then.

What you want is some boombastic romantic fantastic lover
Shaggy
Mr.Lover lover, Mr. Lover lover, girl Mr. Lover lover
She call me Mr. Boombastic say me fantastic touch me in the back
she say I'm Mr. Ro...mantic
She call me Mr. Boombastic say me fantastic, touch me me back she say I'm ro....

Time heals everything. And when you say that life can't get any better, it does get better.
The parrot part made me and my mom laugh out so loud for a full five minutes.

Once upon a time
I went to the library
And I love that old library
I would have lived there if I could
Is that a lyric
yup
And I sang in the library when the librarian said to hush
So I got up and started dancing on the tables instead
And I was joined by the cute little librarian
And we danced the day away
Oh, we danced the day away
And when the library was closing, I asked her to come with me to the club
Oh librarian you can be my melody come shawty to the club with me
this is fun, baby girl I think it's your turn
let your hair loose and just dance with me, baby
come girl let's just fulfill your fantasy
I'm the guy you need
I'm also a huge freak
But I know you gonna love me
So shawty come and dance with me
I can make you feel like you're the only girl in the world
I'll always keep your hair curled
I'll hold your hair up if you're ever hurled
I'll tickle you to make ya laugh
And I'll dog-pile you for revenge
I'll dream of you every night
In the darkness, I'll be your light
In the morning I'll be your sunshine
At night, I'll be your moonlight
So baby come and dance with me
WIth me, you can be free
Free to rock your body baby
So come on and dance with me

Areesha and I wrote this song, texting each other one lyric and the other person texted the other. And we wrote it between 2am and 5am so we named it the Midnight Morning Song.
Our next song together will be even more random.
Oh, and we're hoping to get Chris Daughtry to sing it featuring T-Pain.

Yeah I, will love you, baby
Always and i'll be there
Forever and a day, always

I'll be there, till the stars don't shine
Till the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme
I know when i die you'll be on my mind
and I'll love you, always

Show you off, tonight I wanna show you off
What you got, a billion could’ve never bought
We gonna party like it’s 3012 tonight
I wanna show you all the finer things in life
So just forget about the world, be young tonight
I’m coming for ya, i’m coming for ya
Cause all I need is a beauty and a beat
Who can make my life complete
It’s all by you, when the music makes you move
Baby do it like you do

This is my life

I have no new crazy ideas right now.
It's a first for me.

Though I did walk like Mr Bean does-his weird dance.

And I lost at chess because I sent my King to kill a Pawn.
And when I realized how mad that had been, I laughed till I cried.

Oh, and my sleeping patterns have changed soo much. I sleep between 11pm and 4am, then wake up for gym at 7am (shudders, I hate waking up for gym of all things) and then crash from 9am to 4pm. Amazing schedule. Why did I give specific times? So if anyone else out there has similar crazy timings, we can compare notes of what we do that makes us sleep in those timings.

Compare notes?

Did I really say that?

Must be losing it.

Oh wait.

I never had it.

Justin Bieber can sing

I've realized that there is hope for humanity after all. I know three amazing writers-Ezazi, Areesha, and a students at school, whose name is Faisal and is writing an amazing story which he allowed me to read.
And Justin Bieber sounds better now that he's older. Doesn't sound like a girl anymore.

This Romeo's bleeding
You can't see his blood
It's nothing but some feelings
That this old dog kicked up

I made a list of my favorite memories. Maybe I missed out a few.
Being awarded my first-ever first position certificate in front of the entire school and walking all the way up the line to collect it. And later comparing grades to find out that I had beat the smartest girl in school.

Talking to Deaf children in sign language, and trying to work out what they were saying in every sentence, only to find out that they were calling me big and fat.

Meeting the new girl in school all of a sudden. I had only seen her once before that since she was a distant relative. I was the new Head Boy at Bay View and my team of Prefects were checking students' uniforms at the end of assembly. And since she was new, she didn't know what all the policies were. So she was called out of line for wearing the wrong color of shoes-yes, my school has a policy about that-and brought to me. And all I could say was 'hi' and 'you're (her name comes here), right?' That's when I first encountered breathlessness. And yes, that was The One Who Leaves Me Breathless.

Sitting on the white bench, watching the new girl in school tryout for the Junior Basketball Team. And admiring her for it. I never could play Basketball. Until a few months ago, I couldn't play. Waiting till all my friends had left, just to watch her play. And finding out later that a friend had told her that I had a crush on her, only to find out that the feeling was mutual. And yes, that was The One Who Leaves Me Breathless.

Sitting with her at the iftar party, away from my friends and her friends, just getting to know her. Having her as my centre of attention. People staring at me cause no girl had ever interested me through ten years of school. Just talking to her and enjoying it. And yes, that was The One Who Leaves Me Breathless.

Getting my admissions letter to Lyceum and taking it to my cousin's house to read it in full. Being excited, and texting my friends to tell them the news. Texting and studying for my O'levels and listening to the radio. Ah, those were the times.

My first day at Lyceum. Finding my timetable amidst the chaos, meeting old friends and making new ones. Realizing that the seniors weren't allowed to rag us but still being given hell from most of them. Reading an article in a newsletter that made fun of the newbies and walking up to six seniors and taking them all on in a dissing war.

Playing with my puppies. Feeding them. Having them run after me. Oh, how I miss them, so I'm not going to elaborate on that memory.

Playing fouzeball with a group of friends and being one of the best at the game. Taking people on with one hand behind my back and still managing to win. Playing with my future best friend and winning everyone's challenges.

Coming back to Pakistan at 4am in the morning and surprising everyone by texting them. The sudden heat, the people staring at us, and the mosquitoes haunting us. Waiting for my cousin to pick us up and the curious stares everyone kept giving us.

Staying up all night and chatting with Ezazi & Areesha and listening to music and singing Aqua's Barbie Girl and Axel's Crazy frog so loudly I woke my brother and he came and checked if I was feeling alright.

If our love was a fairy tale
I would charge in and rescue you
On a yacht baby we would sail
To an island where we'd say I do

I knew I loved you before I met you

I knew I loved you before I met you
I think I dreamed you into life
I knew I loved you before I met you
I have been waiting all my life

A guy is sitting at a bar in a skyscraper restaurant high above the city. He's slamming tequila left and right. he grabs one, drinks it, goes over to a window and jumps out. The guy who was sitting next to him couldn't believe that the guy had just done that. He was more surprised when, ten minutes later, the same guy, unscathed, comes walking back into the bar and sits back down next to him. The astonished guy asks," How did you do that???? I just saw you jump out that window and we're hundreds of feet above the ground!!!" The jumper responds by slurring, "Well, I don't get it either. I slam a shot of tequila and when I jump out the window, the tequila makes me slow down right before I hit the ground. Watch." He takes a shot, slams it down, goes tot the window and jumps out. The other guy runs to the window and watches as the guy falls until right before the ground, slows down and lands softly on his feet. A few minutes later, the guy walks back into the bar. The other guy has to try it too, so he orders a shot of tequila. he drinks it and goes to the window and jumps. As he reaches the bottom, he doesn't slow down at all....SPLAT!!!!!! The first guy orders another shot of tequila and the bartender says to him," You're really an asshole when you're drunk, Superman."

It's amazing how you speak right to my heart
Without saying a word, you can light up the dark
Try as I may I could never explain
What I hear when you don't say a thing

My first paragraph reminds me, 'American Standard' is usually the way to be.

Dear God the only thing I ask of you is
to hold her when I'm not around
when I'm much too far away
We all need that person who can be true to you
But I left her when I found her
And now I wish I'd stayed
'Cause I'm lonely and I'm tired
I'm missing you again oh no
Once again

I'm enjoying the holidays. I have guests staying over at my place who're from my family's ancestral home, Larkana, and relatives  from America, so it's a pretty diverse atmosphere. Music and new technology mixing with prayers and chaos.

I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight,
I've never seen you shine so bright, you were amazing,
I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side,
And when you turned to me and smiled, it took my breath away,
And I have never had such a feeling,
Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight.

Oh, and does anyone else have an Acer laptop that's been giving them trouble with overheating? Cause this is the second Acer laptop I've bought and both have the exact same problem, it's turning into a family joke, that the first problem with the laptop is that it's an Acer. Imma buy Asus next, anyone have one of those?

When the visions around you,
Bring tears to your eyes
And all that surround you,
Are secrets and lies
I'll be your strength,
I'll give you hope,
Keeping your faith when it's gone
The one you should call,
Was standing here all along

I got into another university Alhamdullilah, this time the University of Texas at Dallas. So now I can choose between the East Coast, the West Coast, and the South.

The biggest mistake you'll make is walking away from the person that stood there and waited for you.

Pieces of Heaven

Look what I did!

Yes, I shaved off my hair-by self, no less, since I have the shaving machine.

If you felt like laughing, go ahead. These people certainly did.

Heads up. I feel like singing.

Socha Kya Kabhi Tou Ne Ye
Aye Tum Kahan Say Ho

Jao Gay Kahan Ye Socha

Naheen Ray Naheen

And I found it there in your heart

It isn't too hard to see
We're in heaven
Who will turn your world around
Bring you up when you're feelin' down

And love is all that I need
Oh - once in your life you find someone
Bring you up when you're feelin' down

I have over 150 followers!!!

Cause God gave me you for the ups and downs

God gave me you for the days of doubt

And for when I think I lost my way
There are no words here left to say, it's true
God gave me you
Gave me you

I went to one of the new malls the other day and there was a group of my ninth grade students, all of them high on Red Bull.
Now while I'm eating Cinnamonn rolls at Cinnabonn, they proceed to yell hi to me from a mile away and then walk towards me, all the while singing and 'walking like a beanie,' as they put it.
Yes, this post was meant to make people smile.

I have been searching for your touch
Unlike any touch I've ever known

And I never thought about you much
Til I'm broken down and all alone, ohhh

Though I don't understand the meaning of love
I do not mind if I die trying, ohhh
Took it for granted when you lifted me up

Oh, and I have holidays. I started them off by staying up till Fajr for two days in a row (which is a massive achievement considering the horrible migraines I can get as a result of simply changing my sleeping pattern) and only got the usual migraines.

Oh, oh, I was singing so much while staying up and chatting that my brother actually came to check my temperature to see why I was soo happy.

Beauty queen of only eighteen,
She had some trouble with herself
He was always there to help her
She always belonged to someone else

I drove for miles and miles
and wound up at your door
I've had you so many times but somehow
I want more

I don't mind spending every day
Out on your corner in the pourin rain
Look for the girl with the broken smile
Ask her if she wants to stay a while
And she will be loved
She will be loved

If I have ten cubes and you have eleven apples, how many pancakes can fit on the roof Purple. Because aliens don't wear hats.

You have the power to

I was reading my old posts from last year.

And it's summer again. The only thing good about it is the holidays. And no school. Because this heat is really making my migraines worse, and I can't sit in the A/C all day-I'm a busy person with lots of work to do.

My best friend wrote a poem which, according to her, describes me.
I'm saying 'according to her' since I'm being modest about this.
And it is the highlight of my post.
Thank you, Hadia. Love you.

You are like the sun,
When people are freezing, you warm them,
So never despair, for you have the power to be needed.

A tree, a shade to unify,
When the heat gets scorching people come to you to get a gentle breeze
So be thankful, for you have the power to unite.

You may be alone, yet never lonely
You know a person around every corner
So be happy, for you make people feel wanted.

You are there if ever someone needs a friend
Don't want them to feel lonely, for you know how it feels
Feel the light you spread, for you have the power to care & love.

You're like a clown, always smiling
Ever ready to spread laughter and grins
So never fear, for you have a gift few possess.

Be an exuberant cheeku
Full of vitality and sugar
And bask in this feeling, for you have the power to make the most of life.

A free bird is what you are
Not bound to anyone, free to follow your heart's desire
So savour every moment of your flight, for you have wings.

You may feel frustrated,
For all your hard work seems in vain
Don't quit the climb, just remember, you may be climbing the wrong mountain.

You were betrayed, you feel sad,
People abandoned you, now you have become immune
Don't grieve, for you know not how many other people care for you.

Now you are going, you may feel left out
But slowly your light will spread,
Still if ever there is an eclipse, remember, you left an irreplaceable void behind you.

Life may defeat you, you feel miserable,
Just want to jump off a cliff and die,
Don't give up, for you know, you have the power to make a difference

I do not mind if I die trying

School is (almost) over. Just one more day to go. Then two months of relaxation (I hope).

I don't have much to do in school now, since all the teachers have stuff that only they alone can do so they can't give any of it to me :)

Soo I spent today making the Sydney Opera House design using Kiri gami. It looked better upside down, so yeah.

I have been bound by the shackles of love
And I don't mind if I die tied up

This is where I got the idea from.

Impressions

These are the first two paragraphs of a fictional story that I'm writing. Some parts of it-as in the feelings and descriptions-are true, and come from my feelings for The One Who Leaves Me Breathless.

If enough people like it, I'll post the next two paragraphs :)

She died last night. I met her four years ago. I still remember seeing her for the first time at my aunt's wedding, and being introduced to learn that she was the groom's niece. I never knew perfection till I heard her speak. All I could say at that minute was a simple, lame, "Hi." Yeah, that's called breathlessness. I kept running into her at the wedding. I was taking pictures of my family and friends, and she was passing by. I was getting food, and she was there too. I was meeting friends, she was meeting her friends too. Naturally, my mind kept going blank every time.

Next week, she was the only thing on my mind. To my surprise, she added me on Facebook. And that's how our friendship started. It began with the usual hellos and his, the asking how we are and what we're doing in life. Talking about mutual friends, family life, all that. Applying to universities together, meeting up at friends' parties, eventually taking each other's number to text too.

Heart is a mess.

This shall be a happy post.

You can get addicted to a certain kinda sadness
Like resignation to the end, always the end.

Listening to Gotye in the morning with the laptop's volume on full?
And singing along?
Amazing.

Pick apart
The pieces of your heart
And let me peer inside
Let me in
Where only your thoughts have been
Let me occupy your mind
As you do mine

I taught grades two and three this week. I usually teach from grades four to eleven, so it was an amazing change.
Such cute students too. I didn't have to raise my voice a single time. Loved it.

I love this poem that I wrote.
'Wows of the Future'

They stand facing the wind,
Everyone watches them.
They stand together,
Neither complete without the other.

The tall twenty-five year old whispers something into her ear,
She laughs and pulls his arms around her.
They stand in the second-floor balcony,
They watch the sunset together.

The girl is a doctor,
She works ardently at her hospital,
She changes someone's life everyday,
She will be a good mother.

The boy is an engineer and a pillar of society,
He works to change and improve life,
He helps keep the neighborhood safe,
He will be a good father.

Their love gives everyone else hope for the future,
The two hard workers help the society.
Everyone watches them with pride,
They let no one stare with envy.

The girl leans against him,
He smiles as she relaxes.
They wait to welcome their first-born,
The street waits with bated breath.

They are two diamonds in a sea of rubies,
Both made for one another.
