Breathlessness

This is a post about love and life, pain and death.

I'm falling even more in love with you
Letting go of all I've held onto
I'm standing here until you make me move
I'm hanging by a moment here with you
I'm living for the only thing I know
I'm running and not quite sure where to go
And I don't know what I'm diving into
Just hanging by a moment here with you

The One Who Leaves Me Breathless, this picture is for you.

Said I'm so sick of love songs
So sad and slow
So why can't I turn off the radio?

Love requires a different kind of courage. People fear surrender. They are proud and resistant. They will fight to the death for what they believe in. They will struggle to conquer. Love is not about conquest. The truth is a man can only find true love when he surrenders to it. When he opens his heart to the partner of his soul and says that it is your to nurture or destroy.
True, much?

Save your heart
For someone that's worth dying for
Don't give it away
Save your heart
For someone who leaves you breathless
And I know that you're scared
Seems like someone said you had it in you
All along you said you knew this was wrong
But still worth dying for

The thing about loving someone is that it feels like I've been living in the darkness of night all my life and it's like the sun has risen when I see The One Who Leaves Me Breathless. Like an invisible fist has punched my chest and knocked the breath out of me. Like my tongue is joined to the roof my mouth and I can't say anything, I'm totally speechless. It's like a fire inside you that no one can put out. A fire that gives you hope. A fire that gives you a reason to pick yourself up, admit your mistakes, accept things better, and move on with life.

When darkness turns to light
It ends tonight.
A falling star
Least I fall alone.
The walls start breathing
My mind's unweaving
Maybe it's best you leave me alone.
A weight is lifted
On this evening
I give the final blow.

But no matter what happens, you can get hurt if you love someone. Even if they hurt you totally unintentionally. And that raises the question, is it worth falling in love if you keep getting hurt again and again?

It only hurts when your eyes are open
Lies get tossed and truth is spoken
It only hurts when that door gets open
Dreams are lost and hearts are broken

On the other hand, you need to open your heart if you are alone.

Where are you and I'm so sorry
I cannot sleep, I cannot dream tonight
I need somebody and always
This strange creeping darkness
Comes creeping on so haunting every time.

I've had one main fear these past month. That because of how I felt, because of how strongly I felt, I would ruin everything.

I'll be with you wherever you are

I'm already there
Take a look around
I'm the sunshine in your hair
I'm the shadow on the ground
I'm the whisper in the wind
I'm your imaginary friend
And I know I'm in your prayers
Oh I'm already there

I got two As and one B! It was my first time studying full time and working full time as well, so I am overwhelmingly happy. Like. Really. Happy.

Does the happy dance.
Wait. How do you do the happy dance? O.o

Anyway.

So I'm posting a few poems from two blogs today. They are both amazing writers.
Firstly, from Tazeen at Crimson Sky,

If words could kill
You'd be dead by now,
Six feet under -- Seven, just in case
I would dig your grave
With my own skilled hands,
And bury you deep --
Into the sodden ground...

How long has it been,
Since we last spoke?
Because if words could kill,
You'd be dead by now...
Buried six feet under the musky ground
Far from the famed --
Maddening crowd.

Secondly, from One Life Many Moments at One Life Many Moments,

Awkward Silences.
Unsaid words.
Unvoiced expressions.
Suppressed feelings.
Unuttered sentiments.

Unspoken desires.
Unstated promises.
Undying compassion.
Unceasing Concern.

Between the twilight stillness.
Silent Conversations.
Stolen Kisses.
Melting Moments.

Not spelled out- L.O.V.E.

I just loved those poems. You can see why.
Jocelyn at Almost A Star made a list of what she wants for Christmas.
Now I don't celebrate Christmas, since I'm a Muslim, but I do celebrate my birthday on Christmas Eve. And since I'm on a high after seeing my hard-earned grades, I am actually being positive about my nineteenth. So I'm actually smiling as I do this. See the smile in my words? No?

Then here. :)

What is your If-I-Could-Get-Anything-I-Wanted Christmas List?

  1. Staying in Karachi and not having to go anywhere else without The One Who Leaves Me Breathless.
  2. Eternity with The One Who Leaves Me Breathless, Aral, and Ayza.
  3. The Mazda Shinari Concept. Yes, it's a car.
  4. The Canon EOS Rebel T2i.
  5. An Ipad.
  6. A new cell phone. That I need, not just want. Preferably the Iphone 3GS.
  7. Um.. does a cure for every disease count? This is turning into a wishlist now.
By the way, does anyone else watch Terra Nova? I simply love it.

So I am giving a few awards today. I wasn't going to describe the people or their blogs, but that would be wrong. Even though their blogs speak for themselves.

Firstly, to Tazeen at Crimson Sky and Rosette Princess at Once Upon A Time.
I always love reading their poetry and whatever else they have to say. It's always interesting. And as a poet myself, I know when I've found writers whose poetry people will love to read.

and

Secondly, to Jocelyn at Almost A Star, Areesha at Me, Myself and I and Hazel at Pablo's Angel.
There's always variety on these blogs. There's so much that I could describe, but instead I'll just say that I love these blogs and you should go over and read.

Thirdly, to Hamza Bin Laden at Teenage Mutiny, AcetylCholine at Critical Velocity, and Ateeq at Boredum Butcher.

Whenever I need a laugh, I go to these blogs. Even if the posts are really old and they haven't posted, their posts are still really funny. Funnier than mine, I'll admit.

Fourthly, to ♫♪♥PhilO♥♪♫ at Life Through My Eyes, The Butterfly Effect at The Butterfly Effect and Crystal at Pentagram.
These three people can write amazingly. When they publish their books, I'll be the first to buy them. Seriously. If you love reading, I would go onto these blogs, if I were you. I am out of words to describe their..awesomeness.

And to all my bloggers who read this, whether they comment or not (I crave comments.)

The One Who Leaves Me Breathless.

You are my one true love
You are the voice that is so sweet
In everything I do, you bring the best out of me
You are my wings to fly
You are the wind beneath them
I miss you every night, when I close my eyes.

I love you.

Stay with me

You got a fast car
I want a ticket to anywhere.

Have you heard the cover of Rebecca Black's Friday? It's called 'Jumuah.' It's about Friday and going to the mosque and praying.. and it's really funny.

I'm listening to music while blogging, so that's why you see a ton of lyrics in my posts.

I'm a lucky man
To count on both hands
The ones I love
Some people just have one
Others they got none.

I've had an interesting week. Filled with invigilations-wait, I had to add that word to my computer's dictionary, it didn't have it-and yeah, we're having exams at school. I hate exams.

The sun goes down
The stars come up
And all that counts
Is here and now
My universe will never be the same
I'm glad you came.

I went to a new doctor this week. So now I'm taking a total of seven medicines daily and I'm migraine free. It feels amazing to be able to think clearly, even if the medicines make me hungry and depressed.
Those two things I can fight.

Cause we've waited all our lives
Now we're seeing here in our rise
These hands can build up
All that we dreamed up

I'm going to be awarding a few bloggers in my next post. It's taken me too long to decide who to award, since there are so many awesome blogs out there that I follow.

And I'll miss your laugh your smile
I'll admit I'm wrong if you'd tell me

I'm so sick of fights I hate them
Let's start this again for real

It's my birthday in a week. I'm looking forward to finally getting my camera, yes. And I'm looking forward to having Dunkin Donuts on my birthday. My parents are only letting me eat Dunkin twice a month. So I guess I am looking forward to something.

Every time I reach for you, there's no one there to hold on to
Nothing left for me to miss, I'm letting go of this
Lost my mind thinking it through, the light inside has left me too
Now I know what empty is, I've had enough, I've had enough of this

The One Who Leaves Me Breathless, I love you. You are an amazing person and I am blessed to have you in my life. You are the strength that keeps me walking, You are the hope that keeps me trusting, You are the life to my soul, You are my purpose, You're everything.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and happy weekend!

The One Who Leaves Me Breathless

The One Who Leaves Me Breathless.
I love you. And I will do anything for you.
I really have to no idea how to show you how much I care.
